Founder & Managing Director
A serial entrepreneur and angel investor, Oscar is managing director of VisionTech Partners, co-manager of VisionTech Angels and co-manager of the VisionTech Angel Fund. VisionTech Partners is a management consulting company that provides management consulting services for early stage technology companies. In 2009, he co-founded StepStone Angels, which became VisionTech Angels in 2014, which is a statewide angel-investing group composed of local chapters of accredited investors that invest their capital, time, and experience toward helping high growth, high potential, early stage technology companies in the Midwest.
In 2002, Oscar founded BioStorage Technologies in Indianapolis, which was acquired in December 2015 by Brooks Automation (NASDAQ: BRKS). At BioStorage, he served as chief operating officer and managing director for the European operation until his departure in 2007. Prior to BioStorage, Oscar worked in various management roles with Covance, Mayo Medical Laboratories and Boulder Community Hospital.
Oscar’s background includes more than 20 years of technical, operations, and management experience in healthcare and life sciences sectors. Today, he serves on the board of directors of Apricity, OrthoPediatrics and SonarMed, as well as on the not-for-profit boards of the Venture Club of Indiana and the Speak Easy in Indianapolis.
Oscar earned a BS in Medical Technology from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and an MBA from the University of Colorado in Denver.
Tony Petrucciani has been an entrepreneur since his senior year in college, when he founded Single Source Systems in Fishers, Indiana, in 1985. Today, he serves as a managing partner in VisionTech Partners, bringing more than three decades of experience in successful business leadership and management to our organization.
Tony also is the CEO and founder of Single Source Systems, Inc., an Indiana-based company that has been named to the INC 500 as being among the fastest-growing companies in America on two occasions. Beginning as a software developer and analyst, Tony began designing software solutions to be resold into the manufacturing and distribution markets. After participating in custom developed solutions for more than 300 customers, he led Single Source to develop standard add-on solutions. Today, more than 650 companies have licensed SM-Plus worldwide, the company’s solution for service management companies. Today, Single Source is a Service Management focused software development firm that primarily delivers its products through a reseller channel.
Petrucciani earned a BS in Computer Science and Spanish from Ball State University. He is a graduate of Birthing of Giants, an entrepreneurial executive leadership program sponsored by M.I.T. University and INC Magazine. Petrucciani has also been recognized among Indianapolis’ 40 under 40 by the Indianapolis Business Journal. He enjoys mentoring startup companies, technology, problem solving and golf, sometimes all at the same time.
Benjamin (Ben) Pidgeon
Ben Pidgeon is a 15-year veteran of the banking industry, joining VisionTech Partners/VisionTech Angels as the organization’s first executive director in 2016. Ben joined VisionTech to continue to expand our role in Indiana and across the Midwest in supporting business startups, innovation, commercialization, and job creation. Ben’s focus is optimizing VisionTech’s growth, recruiting qualified investors, and attracting and evaluating investment opportunities for our members. Ben is also the president of the Venture Club of Indiana and is a member of its Board of Directors.
Prior to joining VisionTech, Ben served as vice president and private banker at Stock Yards Bank and Trust in Indianapolis. He has also worked with MainSource Bank and M&I Bank/BMO Financial, both in Indianapolis; Bank One in Greenwood, and Oak Street Mortgage in Carmel. He is professionally and community oriented. He served as president and treasurer of the Institute of Management Accountants, Indianapolis Chapter and is a former member of the Woodruff Place Foundation Board of Directors.
A native of West Lafayette, Indiana, Ben earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics from Purdue University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the IU Kelley School of Business.
